Currently, CCH provides living assistance, medical care and personal development training to about 160 people in 28 single-family home-style structures located in fine residential communities in Jackson, Lenawee, Hillsdale and Calhoun counties. Most homes have six residents.
On average, CCH homes are 3,000 square feet in size with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. The homes are managed by a residential staff that provides individualized services on a ratio basis of three staffers to each resident. This staff-to-resident ratio is a vast improvement on the service ratios of the mental health hospitals where many CCH consumers previously resided.
